of newspapers, and persons acting on behalf of a school are exempt from
this prohibition but limited to the hours between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm.

No permit is needed to install a lawn-irrigation system, but a fee
is charged for the inspection. This ordinance also requires that
backflow assemblies be tested annually for proper operation.
Property owners may arrange for testing through a contractor hired by
the Town or on their own. Test results must be submitted to the
Town Clerk as soon as they become available.

Burning
|

36 prohibits the burning of garbage anytime.
Ordinance 102 limits outdoor burning to the months of October,
November, April and May and only after obtaining a fire permit at the
Bellevue Fire Department or at Bellevue City Hall.

274 and Ordinance 333 regulate the parking of cars, RVs, boats, trailers, etc. and
defines specific areas where parking is prohibited.
Passenger vehicles, boats, trailers, and RVs must be parked on
private property -- not on the Town right of way. In
addition, boats, trailers and RVs must be screened from view.
Temporary guest vehicle parking is allowed on Town rights-of-way so long as the
vehicle does not block through traffic and is not parked in a prohibited
location.

the location, use and size of buildings and structures, the use of land,
commercial activities, density, and the sale, lease, division, etc. of
land within the Town and outlines the process for requesting a variance to
these regulations. Some
important features of the zoning code include:
> minimum 10,000-square-foot lots.
> single-family dwellings only.
> limited commercial activity requiring Council approval.
> setbacks for structures/appurtenances set at a minimum of 20 feet in
the front, 25 feet in the rear, and 10 feet on each side; however, some
landscape features are now allowed in the setbacks..
> lot coverage restricted to a maximum of 35% of the lot, including
pools and all impervious surfaces.
> gross-floor-area restricted to a maximum of 35% of the lot, including
garages and attached carports.
> building height restricted to a maximum of 30 feet.
> fence heights restricted to a maximum of six feet in most instances.
