Water Main Replacement 2026 - Phase 1

D&G Backhoe, Inc. on behalf of the City of Bellevue Water Department and the Town of Beaux Arts will be replacing two 50-year-old water mains.  Construction is expected to start the first week in May and last 3-4 weeks.   In an effort to limit any water supply outages, the new Bellevue main will be installed first along the entirety of 104th Ave SE and 105th Ave SE, including the short arterial section of SE 28th St. Once Bellevue's system is up and running, the City will begin installation on the new Beaux Arts main which is to be installed on 104th Ave SE between SE 27th St and SE 28th St.  Similarly, the existing Beaux Arts main will remain in place until the replacement main is tested.  Some Beaux Arts residents will be impacted by unavoidable water outages to connect the new main to the existing main and again to transfer individual homes to the new main.  All outage notifications, inspection and contractor coordination will be done directly by Bellevue personnel and the Town will maintain general oversight over the project.
  • The COB Water Department will post door hangers two days in advance of a planned water outage.  This notification will have instruction on what to do before, during, and after a shutdown.
  • If you experience a water supply or water quality issue that you have not been notified about, please contact the Town as soon as possible.
Please expect material staging, excavation, and large equipment deliveries associated with standard pipe installation activities.  Flaggers will control one lane of traffic through the work zone during the day and lighted barricades may be used overnight to protect material storage areas.  The work will be disruptive and noisy, but we appreciate your patience as we work to provide this necessary update to our Town's water system.  Please forward any questions to Clerk Amy Myhre.
